Racism in the Org.

did your congregation have any racial problems from 1972 - 2005?.

was afro-americans passed over as elders or were their any .

false charges drummed up to remove a-a elder or ms?.

I have never noticed direct racism, but I have heard of many instances. I know a few pioneer-elders who went where the need was great, (on their own) and NEVER made elder. One elder served in my hall for 15 years and moved to an all white hall and NEVER was appointed. He became depressed and moved after 5 years. They (the body and CO) made many excuses and he told me before leaving that they talked about him and his family behind his back for years. An older white pioneer sister enlightened him how they BLACK-BALLED (no pun intended) him. Not sure whatever became of the man. Had outstanding zeal and was a great speaker.

I have been associated with the organization for almost 40 years. I have served and been on several assemblies. I am now irregular, but still attend meetings occassionally. I have known many women in the congregations that I have been associated with that were sexually active. Single pioneers were the worst. They would comment, be on assemblies and were outstanding examples, but would definitely have their needs satisfied.

As a youth, many had sex, but someone would always tell the elders and their would be a massive DFing. On one occassion, 6 of my friends were DF at once. In one area of CA, I noticed wife swapping was more common. Other times people would get bored and creep out on their mate. These also were usually discovered after a year or two. A few elders' wives would deny sex with other men, but admit to just dinner or holding hands to get private reproof. Through the years, the single pioneer sisters that I know, have had relations with men for many years, never to be discovered.

In my area parties are also common. After drinking and dancing and most of the GOOD J-Dubs leave, I have noticed and heard about many odd things happening around the hot tub with the remaining clique. Including complete nudity. NO ONE TALKS about it. I have known of several of these cliques through the years.

Did these things happen when you were associated with the org? Questionable Parties?

Is this common in your area, active JW women having sex and never being discovered? Wife Swapping?

My Bethel Experience Part 9

the the worst thing, someone could call you at bethel, was a "jack".............. as in " that guy is a real jack, he doesn't work at all".

the other term not used very much anymore, was "pot licker" used basically the same way.there has been some bad things done at bethel.

you name it, someone has done it...........but the absolute worst possible thing, a bethelite could do is be a theft!

...Hay! people having sex with each other people happens everyday...........thats normal.

I know many women in congregations that are active in the wrong way. No one tells, so they pioneer and get some on the side. Was this common at Bethel? Did anyone ever tell?

No the machine will continue. After visiting Bethel, I discovered this was the largest slave labor camp in the country. When you get sick, they send you home as a special pioneer. How can they lose money? Most current members will be replaced by new ones. I know several elders from when I was a child that have said they were disapointed they had to die in this system. After such grandiose promises throughout the years. The growth will stabilize. They will only change if the goverments change laws, otherwise the ship will continue. GB members will be replaced with new ones.

I wonder how the chronology issues will pan out. 2014 may cause problems. The generation change caused me to lose faith. I think a change in doctrine may stir the faithful, not sure how.

Most stable old timers will never leave. They have nothing else after a 30+ year investment of their life. I live in a wealthier area, most of the witnesses just go to parties and socialize. Nothing sincere. Some elders almost laugh when saying how close we are to the end. My attitude is, "We just talked about your 401k retirement in 10 years and how your 13 YO is preparing to be a doctor, yeah, the end is close, very, very close".

How long will it be before no one over 18 becomes a jw?

i believe it will be sooner than many of us perhaps think, in the western world at least.. i noticed in a thread the other day about baptism that the longest most people raised as jws waited to get baptised was the age of 18, and most got dipped well before that age.

the last few assemblies i attended, just about all the baptismal candidates seemes to be young and even pre teen kids of jws who had been pressured into baptism by their parents and congregation elders.

i can hardly remember the last person to come in to my old cong through being contacted in the field ministry, unless it's happened in the 18 months since i stopped attending, which i very much doubt.

There will always be adults that have suffered some life-changing event that will be looking for A GOD to deliever them.

(At that moment 6 months ago, Bro. Circuit Overseer, my doorbell rag and I started a bible study and I got baptized this morning)

What really made you exit the Jw's

i know its a question that has been asked a thousand times, but what really made you exit the jws .. for instance, my wife and i, having found out about the u.n., 607bce, failed prophecies etc.

gave all this information to my wifes brother, along with many so called friends.

we came out but the brother and friends stayed in.. the only reasoning i can put on it, is that we made an effort to find out for ourselves what was the real truth, the others were told and given written evidence - but still didnt make a decision.

I say a sign from an apostate at an assemly regarding 1975. As a youth we are told not to look at them. As an adult I went to the KH, read the 1968 WT and it planted the seed of doubt. I went to a library and found outer objective books about the witnesses. COC was read. I actually was anticipating SOMETHING prior to the generation change. When it happened, I said, the bible doesnt change, but it JUST DID. No one around me noticed the change. I went to NY and observed the aloof attitude from GOD's Christ-like servants. I was treated terribly at Bethel. I knew that this was just a multi-billion dollar business at that point.

I told thousands of people to leave their religion because it changes, made revision and it was false. Now as a witness, we were doing the same thing. With NO Explanation.

I feel that I have made a billion dollar investment in relationships and friends. I am not going to let NY take that away. I have noticed that most people around me feel that this is just a social thing now. Just a place too go to meet people to have "Gatherings" with.

Will Armageddon be announced through the WT Magazine?

after seeing all the controversy on the fulfillment of matt 24:14, many are waiting for it to be printed in the wt in order for it to be true.. now, the latest wt is given to jws somewhere around 3 months before it's studied at the wt study (correct me if i'm wrong).

many, if not most jws don't bother reading the brand new magazines until it's time to prepare for the sunday wt study.. now, given that the wts has to print "new light" in the wt in order for it to be true, it would take three months if not more (printing, shipping time) to announce that armageddon has arrived.. isn't there something wrong with this picture?

Armageddon is the scare tactic to get meeting attendance up. It automatically gets mothers to call inactive children and beg them to come to the meetings again. "We are Sooooo close, I don't want my GOD OF LOVE to destroy you". It is time too EARN your SALVATION.

The WTS has proved that the bible is subjective and interpetation can be adjusted at any time.

Jehovahs witness men who trade old wives in for new....

how prevalent was this in your area?

jw man in good standing, elders, ministerial servants, all levels, i have seen them trade off their old wife and marry a younger woman.

they might get df'd for a year or so but eventually return and get all their priveleges back , only difference is they have a new woman on their arm.. the old wife usually has to move to another kingdom hall or accept the new couple being in her face all the time.

Within the last year, I was told the PO in aPalmdale, CA congregation, left his wife for his secretary. He said his wife was mean to him. He was DF, wife moved to stay with relatives. Women outnumber the men. It seems attractive married men in the org. get ~~propositions~~ oppourtunities from younger women. They find a way too NEED counseling or help. Several elders I have known have know, found ways to start performing this task at distant eating establishments. It always is strange how the body was never familar with what was occurring, until the divorce.

Society's claim of Matt. 24:14 being fulfilled - What it could really mean

i've had this thought for quite a while and wonder if fits with the recent talk about the wts claiming that matt.

24:14 has been fulfilled.

my thought was this --- in the wake of the recent cutbacks at bethel, scaling back of literature, and other cost cutting measures, could the wts be preparing the r&f for the complete or massive reduction of literature that would normally be placed with "householders?

There has to be something scare the masses to attend meetings. The entire movement in low income areas is "The end is close, serve Jah, don't get a career". In wealthier congs. it is a giant social scene. Many parties and gatherings. Not much awareness until the CO visit or memorial. No one is pioneering.

They are introducing this change in talks and gauging the response. If favorable, they will place it in writing. At that point, there will be no turning back. The objective is too get a new "Flavor of the Month" to last for the next 5 years. New light does this everytime, stir up the faithful.

After visiting Bethel, I can see it is a giant-multi-billion dollar business. They will do what ever it takes to keep the wizard behind the cloak. With more new light, more will see the real light. In anticipation of the generation change, many were waiting to see how long these 10 year olds from 1914 would live. After the change, it became obvious that this doctrine was FALSE. Still no accountability. You can't preach something for 30 years , then change it completely and have no other mentions of it. I could not believe that no one else noticed but me. That was the LIGHT for me.
